More Frame Progress…

Popped into the workshop on Saturday and it was good to see more progress by Colin and Simon on the timber parts. Colin is making the front fairing frames, that sit on the cockpit sides in front of the windscreen.

Simon is building a former for the Arch Reinforcement frame that sits behind the pilot. The frame is built up from strips of Ash, and the former is for steaming, bending and clamping the timbers to shape. The red plastic parts are 3-D printed to simulated the final profile of the arch. Very clever Simon!
